DOD SkillBridge Presentation: Veteran Interns and Apprenticeships

Have you heard of the DOD SkillBridge program? Veterans within six months of separation are eligible to receive full pay and benefits provided by the military while participating in an approved apprenticeship. An intern or apprentice at no cost to the employer - plus all the benefits of the veteran ethos. 

James Stallard, education services officer at Grand Forks Air Force Base, will present the SkillBridge program to Laurentian Chamber members virtually.

"The Department of Defense invests tens of thousands of dollars in training for its Service members. This formal training is supplemented by extensive on-the-job training and accumulated hands on experience gained throughout the Service member’s career.
